Back in NC!

It is finally here. VACATION! Ashley and I are at Mom and Dad's in Asheboro, NC. Last night I had the privilege of speaking at the NC East District Wesleyan Women's Banquet. Yeah, I thought the same thing. Why am I speaking at a women's banquet? The theme was "Living Water for a Thirsty Generation". I attempted to challenge them with the same challenge God has be pressing on my heart recently. That is, to be willing to sacrifice my own comfort for the good of His kingdom. That's something real easy to say but very difficult to do.

It was a pretty cool evening, featuring a rap about a lost cat (I'm serious). It was like Phoebe (from Friends) on speed. Just kidding, it was really creative and very funny. I was able to see some people that I hadn't seen in a very long time, and of course that's always good. There were people there from various churches my Dad has pastored throughout the years. Even a couple former Sunday School teachers. I'm grateful for the invitation. It was good to be home.

But now it's time to kick back and relax. Tomorrow we head to Myrtle Beach. Pray I don't get fried.

Love the new look! Glad you guys are having a good vacation, but we miss you both sooo much already! Remember, SPF 30+ reapplied every 2-3 hours, more frequently when swimming. Hurry home, can't make it long without you 2!
