For the last seven and a half years it has been awesome to serve as youth pastor at Welcome Wesleyan Church. The people here have supported our ministry from day one. That's why it's going to be so hard to leave.
When I finally surrendered to God's plan for my life, I promised Him I would listen to His voice from then on. No matter how crazy what that voice was saying seemed. My prayer has always been that God would put me in the best place for me to be in to help people understand how much they need Him.
Church planting has always been a dream of mine. The thought of going into a community and starting from scratch. I want to help build a church that is tailored to the needs of a community and not the wants of long-term believers. To start a movement of God that will birth a church.
God has opened the door to make that dream a reality. This summer Ashley and I will be moving to Greensboro, NC. Greensboro is a city of nearly 230,000 people!! Only 15% of that are attending evangelical churches. If we are missionaries (and we most definitely are), then this is an amazing mission field.
When you ask God to do something, He does it big. We are excited, scared, and a little overwhelmed. But most of all we are certain. Certain that this is God's will. And that's what matters most.
